When NASSCOM, India’s leading non-profit industry association, approached us, they were looking to modernize their candidate matching and career fair operations. They had been managing events and connecting employers with potential candidates through manual, offline processes—a system that struggled to reach more remote areas and keep pace with demand. Realizing the need for an efficient digital upgrade, we created a user-friendly web portal called Talent Connect.
Transforming Career Fairs with NASSCOM Talent Connect
Introduction
Results
Before-and-After Comparison:
- Offline events in remote areas had limited scalability and visibility.
Manual methods made it difficult to connect certified candidates with relevant job openings.
Encouraging candidates to finish courses and acquire certifications was a significant need.
- The solution had to align with QP (Qualification Pack) & NoS (National Occupational Standards) to meet government regulations.
Solution
Using market research, competitor analysis, and a thorough understanding of NASSCOM’s needs, we developed a robust web portal—Talent Connect—packed with features to address each challenge.
Our portal provides AI-backed suggestions for candidates and employers that help candidates get the best job suggestions & employers get the best candidate for an opening. The level of matching in both cases helps make informed decisions for applying for the job & hiring.
- There’s the linking of candidate data from the FutureSkills Prime portal to ‘Talent Connect’, which we created. The gamification enables candidates to apply for jobs based on their certification status. It works well as a motivation factor for candidates. Those certified by the FutureSkills Prime portal can apply to any number of jobs on Talent Connect.
- The training partner module of our portal enables training partners across domains to upload bulk candidates on the portal and track their application and hiring process.
The portal allows candidates to search, filter, and apply for opportunities across the country per their preferences.
The system introduced a seamless process for patients to find and match certified candidates best suited for their job openings.
- Talent Connect was built keeping in mind the Qualification Pack (QP) and National Occupational Standards (NOS) approved by NCVET & Govt of India.
Conclusion
By moving from offline events to Talent Connect, NASSCOM has been able to reach more people across the country, better match candidates with suitable employers, and encourage course completion through fun gamification features. As a result, they’ve seen a big jump in new candidates, more engaged employers, and a smoother recruiting process overall.
